Hey y’all. Let me introduce myself. I’m Cindy Foster Grace aka the Fuzzy Red Robe. My friends just call me “Fuzzy.”
As much as I like to talk, I don’t like to talk about myself too much. However, you’ve stumbled upon this page and you should probably know a little about me. This is not my CV. CVs are cold and impersonal and I’m anything but cold. In fact, I’m pretty much a walking hot flash.
If you really want all of the facts, my profile on LinkedIn is up-to-date with a client roster, skill sets and recommendations from people I’ve worked with in the past. Just click the LinkedIn icon to your right and it will take you straight to my page.
I’ve been a copywriter/content provider for 30 years. Early on, I worked for an advertising agency but as soon as the babies came, I started to work as a freelance writer. Those babies are adults now, but I still cherish my freelance status. It allows me to work in the comfort of my own home wearing…you guessed it…my fuzzy red robe.
With 3 decades of work under my belt, I’ve seen a lot of changes in the communications industry. When I started work, an IBM Selectric typewriter was the ultimate in technology. Now, I can’t be without my iPhone. I feel positively naked without it. I’m not trying to say I’m technologically gifted…I’m not. However, I do keep a keen eye on the changes in our industry and rather than sticking my head in the sand and pretending like we’re still communicating the same way we did two decades ago in the “good old days” I work hard to make sure that clients, for whom I supply content, are getting their message out through the most appropriate and effective channels.
If anyone is interested in seeing it, I have an extensive portfolio of print ad work, magazine articles and newspaper articles. However these days, my work is predominantly focused on providing website content, helping frightened clients get in the blogging groove and helping them master the art of conversation on places like Facebook and Twitter.
Well, I said I don’t like to talk about myself but based on this, apparently I do. I would love the chance to get to know you. You can find me on social media on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. The icons will take you straight there. Or if you prefer, drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Heck, to make it easy, just leave me a note in the comment section on this blog. It will be great fun (and informative) to have you in the conversation.
